MEET CHEF JANET
Chef Janet Poleski has meticulously worked in the service industry in every capacity from the front of the house to the back of the house over the span of more than 3 decades. Throughout her extensive career, she has held the esteemed position of Executive Chef in various restaurants, as well as taking on the role of Banquet and Catering Chef in prominent hotels. Additionally, she has worked on-site as the Head Chef for a boutique catering company located in Georgetown, and has also served as the General Manager for a local, bustling hotspot known for its vibrant atmosphere.
Janet graduated from the esteemed French Culinary School, L’Academy du Cuisine, situated in the DC area during the 90s. After completing her education, she made the decision to move back home to South Carolina, where she successfully opened her own catering business in 2006. You can discover her published recipes featured in the previous pages of Talk Magazine and in the acclaimed cookbook, Great Chefs of Old Town, Alexandria.
She has a genuine passion for orchestrating dinner parties, weddings, and all types of receptions, where her vibrant creativity can truly shine through. In addition to her catering services, Janet also offers engaging group cooking classes, delightful kids’ cooking camps, and personalized one-on-one training sessions. Chef Janet is not only exceptionally talented, but she’s also a joy to work with, bringing an element of fun to the culinary experience.
